Spent Sunday Afternoon with family in Maine, and had lot of fun. On the way home I decided to stop by The Kittery Trading Post I wanted to pick up a pistol disassembly manual and some powder for a .38 Special load I want to work up, also I found some primers, so I cleaned them out.
They need to bring the powder up from someplace, so I did what I was going to do anyway, and browse the showroom. Of course I got to LOATHING Massachusetts as they had a used Kahr PM45 for $520. Wanted it SOO bad, but there is no legal way for me to buy it, so there it sits.
Finally I went to the check out, and I saw my powder sitting behind the register. I pointed it out to the kid behind the register, and started checking out. He put my stuff in a bag and stapled it shut….this is to prevent theft.
Then I drove home, and when I opened the bag there was the WRONG POWDER!
BOOOOO
Well now I have an excuse to go back to Kittery next weekend….still kinda rubs me the wrong way.
I hate it when that happens. Once I had a clerk make a substitution that he thought was ‘close enough’. Doesn’t really work that way :/
Now the big questions is are you going to buy a gun so you can work up a load using the powder that you have no other use for ?
Actually Have a look at my latest post above, I may be working out a trade at the blogger-shoot, but I need some reloading advice
Which powder did you get and what were you looking for ?
What pistol are you needing a manual for? I have a CD full of gun manuals and I might have it.

Hey, thanks for the offer, but check the link, its a series of manuals put out by Gun Digest and its more-or-less comprehensive for just about every major firearm of its type. I like having them around because I never know when I might need to take apart or repair xy or z firearm, and the detailed instructions and pictures in this series meant that first-time detail strips of firearms goes off without a hitch, and often supplies better instructions for field stripping than the manufacturer’s manual.
FYI I poisoned your email just in case spam bots try to sniff you out.
