LYNN, Mass. — An elderly Lynn woman was left bruised and bandaged after two thieves attacked her outside of her home and stole her purse on Monday….Sozanski has her head bandaged and is now suffering from a concussion. She can’t believe that she was attacked in her driveway, all because someone wanted to steal that great grandmother’s purse.
As Jay pointed out, this is the face of gun control. Nobody had a gun in this situation, and the grandmother was left severely beaten. Nice “utopia” huh?
I can hear the antis screeching now “A gun wouldn’t have helped this great grandmother, they attacked her from behind”.
I’ll agree that if she was carrying a gun, it wouldn’t have helped her but……and this is the important part
But — if the young thugs knew that most of her neighbors and friends were armed, would they be as likely to beat up an old lady?
I doubt it.
Even if it wouldn’t have stopped, wouldn’t reduce crime — isn’t preserving our liberty, our freedom to choose important?
According to the antis, she must be living in a ‘bad area’ regardless of 60 years of no crime.
As a Local I will point out that we looked at houses in Lynn. There are a few “Good parts” but overall “Lynn Lynn the City of Sin” is a total shithole. Oh and its also damn impossible to get a carry permit there, go figure.
Also another thing to note, how often do you read about beat-cops getting jumped from behind? Its super easy to get behind one. Why not? Well the chance that you don’t get him out of the fight super-fast he’ll pull his gun and shoot you leaves you looking for little old ladies in Lynn. Who knows how much of a fight she was able to put up…but even on her back and bloodied the idea of her fishing a .25 out of her purse and giving somebody a 3rd nostril might get them to change their MO….
