Post Snow Beverage

Maker’s Mark sent me a set of these as a Holiday gift. The mold works great, and it works like a charm in my drink.

Now as a caveat, I don’t drink Maker’s Mark (I became an ambassador through my Dad who prefers their bourbon) when I drink bourbon I drink it neat because I just think bourbon (and scotch for that matter) tastes best at room temperature. Tho I did float one of these balls on some Segram’s Seven (one of the best cheap whiskey’s on the market if you ask me!) with a splash of lillet.

Very cool.

If you have one of these things and have trouble getting the balls out of the mold, the trick is to rotate the globes and they pop right out!

This is only slightly related, but I have some freinds who have a Titanic ice cub set, with a Titanic that floats with the bow in the air and an iceberg. Anyway, back to you…

I find if your bartender just kinda cups the balls in her hands and rolls them about it helps them come easier.
    😀

@tommy, I need to find a bartender like that!

  4. I wanted to post something funny, but I can’t follow that act.

I do have Makers Mark cigars, though.
