“Gun Death” More Pitbull

Gun’s won’t just-go-off. Dogs DO have a will of their own. Its sad when people don’t take the proper precautions.

Monique Hernandez remembered waking in the middle of the night and frantically searching for her 11-day-old baby girl.

Hernandez said she felt around in the dark in the nearby bassinet, but couldn’t find Mya Maria Maeda. She could feel the family dog, Rocky, near the couch, moved her fingers across and realized her baby’s head was in the dog’s mouth, she said.

Brutal. But not a “Gun Death”, so maybe I’m overreacting?

    First: Oh my GOD.

SECOND: How can you NOT point out the bottom of the article? “Should the pit bull breed be banned? Tell us what you think; take the POLL.” Typical!

I actually missed that point. While there are stereotypical temperaments for all breeds, they’re stereotypes, not hard-and-fast laws of nature. But then what happens with mixed breeds? What if we’re dealing with a Rottie/Pit cross? How about a yuppified Pit-poo “Designer Breed”?

Some say “There are no bad dogs, just bad owners”, I don’t buy that, certainly there CAN be bad dogs….but unless the dog is a feral or a stray, there is ALWAYS a bad owner behind EVERY bad dog.

      Thanks for pointing that out!
