One More Day

The Mrs. and I called in sick from work. She was right on the bubble waking up. Decided to play it safe and have her stay home, and me to stay home just to watch over her.

This is such a pain in the ass. Still everything goes our way this will be the worst that we get.

My thoughts and prayers will be with you today.

Glad to hear she’s doing better. I was going to bring over some food since as a New England swamp yankee I can only express emotion though baked goods. I’ll hold off until you’ve ate your way through everyone else’s concern.

Thanks dude, yeah we’ve got so much food the cold storage is hens-teeth rare!

“New England swamp yankee”? That’s one even I haven’t heard before!

LOL, Father’s Day weekend Mrs. Weer’d, my Father and I walked up to the swamp I used to play in as a kid. I spent most of my youth smelling of swamp mire. Whatever a “Swamp Yankee” is, I must be one! 🙂

      • UncleJesse says:

You haven’t heard swamp yankee before? Tacking on New England is a little redundant but I always thought your swamp donkey phrase was by analogy to a swamp yankee. My grandfather actually owned a swamp for a while so it certainly applies to me.

        • UncleJesse says:

Swamp yankee’s as close as New England gets to rednecks. If you’ve got a name that’s been in your town 17 generations, some rusted out Model A or T trucks in the woods behind your house, and no money at all, you’re a swamp yankee. We generally get a lot less fun out of life than our southern counterparts

        • Weerd Beard says:

Nope, “Swamp Donkey” is simply the fact that a cow moose or a bull without antlers looks like a massive donkey, and they spend much of their time wading for water plants.

          Neat info!
