Anti-Freedom, Not Anti-Gun

We all know NYC is one of the most anti-gun places in this country. But we should also know by now that anti-gun people really aren’t anti-gun, they’re just anti-freedom:

Mayor Bloomberg is pushing hospitals to hide their baby formula behind locked doors so more new mothers will breast-feed.

Starting Sept. 3, the city will keep tabs on the number of bottles that participating hospitals stock and use — the most restrictive pro-breast-milk program in the nation.

Your body, your choice…unless they don’t like the choice. Also kinda neat that its a man dictating how women raise their infants.

Keep it classy, Bloomy!

  1. Yeah, I love the hypocrisy.

    Salt on dining table? Nope.
    Soda over 16 ounce? Nope.
Recognize any other States gun law? Nope.
You choose formula over breast? Nope.

My wife and I have 4 sons, each was bottle fed. None of them are worst for wear. The bottles allowed me to fully bond with my sons as they were growing up, and my wife didn’t have to deal with the pumping crap. We chose what was best for us.

Bloomberg is a disgrace in every way!!

My wife’s doctor was discussing her medication and breast milk, and we were discussing the various numbers from the various studies, and I noted that all the studies that say children who breast feed have a higher IQ, all the studies seem to note only a few points difference in the results between the two groups. Now with compounding averages that number becomes more significant, still A) What’s the cognitive difference between somebody who’s IQ is 120 vs 121? and B) Most IQ tests have a margin of error of around 5-6 points.

Couple in that some people have difficulty pumping or producing enough milk, and some people start producing milk days after the baby is born, it just really smells like another stupid nanny law.

Bloomberg is a case study in how power corrupts. He’s proving to be as dangerous to the American people as Huey Long. What continues to alarm me is that the people of New York haven’t risen up and run him out of town.

    • I wrote about this exact issue on my blog a few days ago and made the same statement…I am more concerned about the people not caring than I am about anything else. People will always try to dominate, but no one in New York seems to care.

    • Scott says:

People that live in NYC seem to be a little out touch with the rest of the world.

      This is just one example…
My wife writes young adult novels and in one of them a character is pregnant and going to prom, her editor (born, raised and living in NYC) did not understand why the character did not just get an abortion……she also questioned a character sitting in the bed of a pick-up truck in another book. Just weird things like that. I believe that is why Bloomie is mayor. They just don’t seem to understand why what he is doing is wrong because they have no other perspective….

Next step is to register those high-capaciy DD breasts. Remember, its for the children!!

  6. Jake says:

Yes, but will he allow feeding from breasts that are over 16 ounces?
