I don’t 100% agree with Penn, but he makes some good points. Notice how Piers, a man who is intellectually inferior to Penn, just keeps interrupting.

Piers prefaces his affirmation of belief by saying “I was raised Roman Catholic from childhood, so I’m a believer,” yet it never dawns on him that that’s the only reason he believes what he believes—not because of it’s inherent, objective truth, but simply because he was indoctrinated from childhood. Had he been raised a Muslim he’d believe in Mohammad, had he been raised Hindu or Jewish, he’d believe those and reject Christianity as a false religion.
The mental gymnastics and ludicrous leaps of logic one must undertake in order to defend one religion and reject the others never ceases to amaze me.
The “You’re a Thor Atheist” seemed to hit REALLY close to the mark.
Notice how the conversation breaks down when that line was tossed out.
