I really like seeing the Cowboy Action guys shooting Double-Action guns. I’m a Double-Action revolver guy, I see fanning the hammer as a crutch for shooters with bad trigger pulls.

Side match = not allowed in competition
Well they’re still shooting for score, and winners are declared. I call that competition. Yeah its not official Cowboy action rules, I still like it!
So you gonna get a hollowed out Bible and carry a Derringer in it?
I never really much cared for Derringers. But those little S&W top-breaks are the berries. I have a few Giddeon’s Bibles to spare….
“fanning” is not something that was seen often outside of Hollywood oaters, but the “slip hammer” was. lots of guns were modified for slip firing.
“I see fanning the hammer as a crutch for shooters with bad trigger pulls.”
Josey Wales and the High Plains Drifter want to have a word with you….
Yeah well Dirty Harry or Walk Kilwalski would kick his ass!
But that’s only because of the limitations of the VERY kickass Walker Colt! (Fucking love that movie BTW “Dyin’ ain’t much of a living”)
(OK maybe not the High Plains Drifter….as well, I won’t spoil the ending)
