“Progress”

This is why there will ALWAYS be quotes around the political use of the word “Progressive”

Also let’s be fair, plastic bags have almost zero environmental impact except cosmetic. Also we re-use our plastic grocery bags. They’re good for storage, and make nice disposable lunch bags. Just about every supermarket recycles them.

Hey but lets lay off a bunch of people, and jack up the price of groceries because its “Progress”.

They’re also great for cleaning out the litterbox (as long as you make sure there aren’t any holes in them first!).

  2. RWC says:

C’mon, the majority of California deserve a nice norovirus outbreak.

  3. Cargosquid says:

I remember when using plastic bags was progressive and green because the outcry was “Save the trees!”

    • Weerd Beard says:

Save the trees is total bullshit too! I’m from Maine where we have these things call “Tree Farms”. Tress are planted in rows, cultivated, then harvested. Its not different than the Soybeans that are grown so these communists can have their “cruelty free” tofurky!

“Cruelty Free” because countless small critters are murdered running the harvesters.

      • Ted N says:

Hey now, those critters aren’t cute, so they don’t count. They also didn’t get killed by a firearm. 😀

  4. 5 cent tax in DC per bag, paper or plastic.

5 cent tax in Montgomery county, MD for the same thing. Here I know that the retailer is allowed to keep 1 cent of the loot for themselves, but they must charge the tax.

Chinese carryouts have all stopped offering itemized bills. People go to the next county over to buy groceries. I keep forgettng my reusable grocery bags.
