Stopover

Bedding down in Pennsylvania for the night. We left Williamsberg this morning, spent morning at Montecello, and made it this far north before dinner.

We’ll be home tomorrow afternoon.

It was a great trip, I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to meet up with any of you local bloggers, but it just wasn’t in the cards.

Normal blogging to resume soon!

  1. I do not know this nor-mal of which you speak. Can you eat it?

Slather normal with cheese and bacon, and it’ll be tolerable.

Monticello is a lovely place. If only we had presidents like that these days. . .

Yeah, the guide mentioned while we were standing in Jefferson’s library looking at some of his original books, and the guide mentioned that he taught himself architecture from his books. Granted he hired a LOT of contractors, and had a few skilled slaves, still the fact that his little shack on the hill is still standing says he might have figured out a thing or two from it.

Still like most geniuses, as well as a man who’s political views are STILL considered EXTREMELY radical by the members of his political party, as well as the other new-fangled party that opposes them (kinda), I suspect the MSM would rip him apart, and he wouldn’t be too tolerant to show him his “Best Face”, and would simply use his skills in the private sector and do all his political work in PACs.

Look at the idiots auditioning for the position right now…they’re in that spot because WE THE PEOPLE are supporting them. As much of a mistake that looks like, it sadly is 100% intentional.
