Zimmerman was cooperative and polite to police. He had a story of self-defense that matched injuries. He was interrogated several times over several hours and the story stayed the same. Witnesses and forensic evidence matched his story.
Factor in whatever Martin’s School and juvenile record and autopsy results say, which haven’t been made public, and you have what looks beyond a reasonable doubt like self defense.
Funny how the same people complain of being treated unjustly by police because of their skin color, would like others to be treated unjustly by the police because of THEIR skin color.

I think it speaks to the slant of the media that they keep using old photos of both people even though more recent photos of both exist.
One thing I’ve noticed — or noted the lack of — descriptions of the bruises, cut, lacerations or contusions on the body of Trayvon Martin.
Police reports describe a single gun shot wound. Nothing else.
The family hasn’t reported their son was beaten; so unless Zimmerman started a fight and never got a single blow in, wouldn’t it indicate that Martin was the aggressor?
Then there is this, reacting to the question of why it took three days for his family to figure out the kid was missing… despite all the cruisers and emergency vehicles lighting up the neighborhood from 7:30pm to 3:30 am:
According to his father, who was supposedely there visiting his girlfriend, Trayvon was supposed to with another relative that night (Occam’s Razor say this other relative was not a resident of that sub-division, otherwise they would have just said he was visiting THAT relative)…
This is a private gated sub-division, there is no public property within its gates, his skulking around its streets is no different than if he had been skulking around anyone else’s fenced in backyard at night…
So, Trayvon was engaged in a little criminal trespass on private property (as he was not a guest of a resident at the time of the incident), prowling as it was after sunset, assault & battery as witnesses and all information released indicates that he was sitting on Zimmerman’s chest pummeling him, oh, as he was sitting on Zimmerman’s chest he was physically restraining him, you can add unlawful detention into the mix.
I think Zimmerman made a mistake getting out of his car. He put himself in a bad situation. But I think he was attacked and had the right to defend himself.
I note when Zimmerman said he was following Martin, and the operator said “we don’t need you to do that” Zimmerman said “OK”. Then the operator asked him for an address. Most likely he went to find an address, which can be hard to do in the rain.
I more I learn the less I feel this was “death by mall ninja”. Would a self respecting mall ninja be carrying a pocket gun “on patrol” instead of a 45 death ray or high capacity wonder 9? Also I see nothing about him having a flashlight. Who know how that would have changed things?
He also got out after Martin took off running, and he was obviously only walking.
I don’t even know if THAT was a mistake. 20/20 hind sight none of this would have happened if he had stayed in his car until police arrived.
That being said Zimmerman was concerned Martin was stealing property and that he was on drugs, not that Martin was violent.
Facts don’t matter now. 1 million dollar bounty on his head. This should end well.
And just imagine the mess if the police try to charge the NBPP guys with felony solicitation of kidnapping. Never mind how openly it’s being done and how blatantly illegal it is, it’ll never result in charges because half the country would explode into violence if it did.
If someone looking for that bounty finds him, it Will Not End Well for anyone involved, and probably for a lot of people who aren’t involved.
If this case goes to trial as is, we will have Casey Anthony Part 2. I am amazed at the amount of stupidity shown by the Racial Pundits those commenting this case in the Media. And there should be a special punishment for the moron who told the parents to take the case to the press. Whoever did it, single handily managed to set (If guilty) Zimmerman free forever IMHO.
Now there’s a cheery thought. Good luck to the courts trying to find an impartial jury anywhere, now. Even if a jury is seated, if he is convicted he has a good issue to raise on appeal before the trial ever starts.
The police clearly told Zimmerman not to follow. If Trayvon was fighting Zimmerman it was Trayvon that was defending himself. You tell me if you wouldn’t fight someone off that you don’t know at night who is following you.
Except that Zimmerman told police he’d lost sight of Martin.
And being followed is not a valid reason to commit assault and battery; Florida law says force is justified to “prevent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another or to prevent the commission of a forcible felony”.

It was not the police initially talked to Zimmerman. It was a 911 dispatch ***operator*** — a non-law enforcement position. One with no legal standing.
No, I wouldn’t fight someone following me until they broke the law; either by attacking me or threatening me. Their mere presence in a public place is not a threat.
I ask “Would you break the law by attacking someone following you?”
I’ll tell you that to your damn face. I’ve had people “following” me. Turns out they were just going in the same direction. I’ve had friends who were being cased by robbers. They simply have said to the person “What’s up guys?” and they’ve moved on.
Meanwhile all the hard evidence points that Martin ran off and hid, and later ambushed Zimmerman, probably because Martin was intoxicated. He attempted to kill Zimmerman with his bare hands, and Zimmerman called for Help, and when no help came he killed Martin back.
That’s called “Self Defense”. Get used to it!
Most of your comments are wrong, zimmerman is guilty for 1 he should have not followed the child when he was told he did not have to do that. 2 Trayvon Martin had every right to defend his self if he did try to. If a grown person ever followed me as a child and then tried to attack me i would fight back in order not to be another emmit til, the police fail they did not do there job they had witnesses, who they did not question. So, Caleb, ever hear of Trevor Dooley? He wasn’t arrested immediately after shooting a white guy in Florida, and there were a bunch of witnesses. He was eventually, and I believe his trial is going on now. Let’s hope it’s the facts that the jury tries, not the race of the defendant or victim.
