3D Printers Save Ducks!

3D Printers, not just for printing firearms!

Engineers at NovaCopy were able to save this adorable duck’s life by building him a prosthetic webbed foot that allowed him to swim. The duck was born with a backwards foot that had to be amputated, but modern science stepped in to save the day with a replacement foot that was printed from a mold, made by NovaCopy. The permanent prosthetic took around 13 hours to print, and demonstrates the incredible usefulness of rapid prototyping technology.
