“Gun Death” Domestic Violence

No guns used!

A judge has sentenced a Cleveland-area man to 11 years in prison for a savage butcher-knife attack on the man’s estranged wife and her son in January.

…Prosecutors said he was driven by jealousy because his estranged wife wanted to move on.

No guns used, so no “Gun Death”, so what’s the big deal?

  1. Jack/OH says:

Knives and other edged weapons have a very high “restrike capability” before re-sharpening’s needed, too, I guess.

It takes a little work, but you could probably apply the twisted-up anti-gunner mentality to some sort of bullshit anti-knife lobby: “This knife kills! It’s even worse than handguns that need cylinders and magazines to be reloaded. This knife is like having an infinite magazine!” Make up some equally bullshit advocacy literature, find a big-money backer, and you could enjoy a Potomac hobby lobby arguing that folding knives with blades longer than, maybe, 100mm need to be banned because statistics . . . . (I think the UK has some sort of folding knife ban, too.)
