“Gun Death” UK

The UK where guns are all but banned, and they have a low “Gun Death”.

A 16-year-old student has admitted killing his teacher in her classroom, a defence lawyer has told a court.

The teenager is accused of murdering 61-year-old Spanish teacher Ann Maguire at Corpus Christi Catholic College in Leeds on 28 April.

Paul Greaney QC, prosecuting, said the boy did not admit murder, but added: “It does amount to an admission he’s guilty of manslaughter.”

A trial on the murder charge was set for 3 November at Leeds Crown Court.

Now of course the fact that it was in a school is irrelevant as the UK is essentially one big “Gun Free Zone”, further despite the nature of this murder, the whole nation is also a “Knife free zone”.

It appears to be working!

One Response to “Gun Death” UK

Not yet satisfied with the UK’s suffocating restriction of handgun and knife ownership, Glasgow police are working on new knife policing. Kitchen knives. Lock ’em up. There now, that’s a good boy. Trust us, we know what’s best. (I half-scanned the relevant article from a Glasgow newspaper a few weeks ago. I don’t have a link. My dim memory is that the kitchen knife policing is at the public service ad level for now, but I’m not sure if it stops there.)

Still, if my memory’s okay, Glasgow’s murder rate is higher than the rate in many American jurisdictions where gun ownership rates are very high.

Do the anti-gunners really want to unleash a liberty-destroying American Inspectorate for Gun and Knife Control? Think Prohibition, DEA, etc. for a look at how many lives have been destroyed in search of the booze- and drug-free utopia.
