I’ve heard that peanut butter can be used in place of the Crisco to seal the cylinders, if you’re looking to be a little different.
I think he’s too far north for a Dixie solution to sealing the cylinders to be allowed.
I am curious as to why a tampon is a good choice.
They’re ideal for cleaning out the bore of a shotgun, also I found that they fit the gas tube of an AK perfectly.
That sounds like it would be really yucky…but probably smell good!
I’d have to hang a sign on the outdoor pistol range: “If you have a peanut allergy, you shouldn’t shoot while the bearded fellow is running his black powder!”
Somehow I think the club will frown on that.

Oh yeah, my wife doesn’t use those cheap generic ones! I just went into CVS and bought the cheapest and heaviest tampons I could find. Works great and wayy cheaper than those bore mops you can buy

Meh I just use a rod to run them through. The strings aren’t THAT long.
To get the ones with the strings that are long enough you have to get the ones for extra TALL women. Go ahead Weer’d, they keep them behind the counter, just go up and ask.

I would recommend switching to Bore Butter instead of Crisco. More better, less runny. You can even get it pine scented. {LOL}
