Sorta Reminds me of my segment of the April Fool’s Gunblog Variety Cast, Private Plane Death:
The North Carolina CEO who is believed to have been piloting his private jet when it came down on a Washington D.C. suburb killing a mother and her two young sons had crashed a plane in March, 2010, on the same approach.
…Six people in total died when the Embraer EMB-500/Phenom 100 twin-engine private jet which plowed into three homes at around 10.45am causing a huge explosion.
Of course most antis don’t have private planes, so maybe they’ll work to ban those too! GLOBAL WARMING!!!!

And do you notice how quiet the antis are regarding plane related deaths?
Training — massive amounts of training required for even the basic license.
Licensed – yep. Not just once but re-testing and for each classification of craft.
Regulations – out the wazoo.
Physical requirements — they exist also.
Approval for each trip – yep have to file a flight plan, make sure you stay out of certain areas, etc.
And still had this been a firearm related issue, the antis would have called it a mass shooting. And let’s not forget cost — the antis want to make owning a firearm expensive but it doesn’t compare to the cost of owning and operating a private plane — definitely getting into the 1% category when you own not just a plane but a private jet.
