“Gun Death” Vehicular Homicide

Yep

A 21-year-old northeast Ohio man has been found guilty of aggravated vehicular homicide and driving under the influence after being accused of running over the former Cleveland State University police chief as he changed a tire on the side of a freeway outside Cleveland in February.

He was drunk and driving at a very high rate of speed. Good thing he didn’t have a gun! Also good thing drivers need licenses and cars need to be registered!

This morning on the local Houston news, a reporter was commenting on a couple of local children being injured by firearms (found unsecured) and added to the list a child who had been stabbed by his mother during what sounds like a postpartum psychotic episode. Why this was even mentioned as part of the “gun death/injury” story had me shaking my head.
