So I mentioned that Joan Peterson said Grenades and RPGs could be bought at gunshows without background checks. Well a lot of people mentioned the whole grenade angle. The best is Sebastian who actually looked at the links she posted. I generally don’t because #1 she doesn’t hyperlink them and I’m lazy. and Nine-times out of Ten she posts links from the Brady Campaign, or a Joyce group, which she is an active member of. But Sebastian shows that the whole “Grenade” angle is toys, and novelties, not explosives.
But few have talked about RPGs….so I did some searching, and while I’ve never seen an RPG for sale at a gun show (Background check, and NFA or not) but I did some googling, and I found you CAN buy RPGs ONLINE, and there is NO background checks, or even age variations! YES these people will sell fully-functional RPGs to CHILDREN!
Have a look, I have personally bought RPGs from this online vendor, and I can confirm that there was no age or background check in the purchase, and I will say that they are FULLY FUNCTIONAL! Also I know many children who have bought This RPG OVER THE COUNTER at various retail stores. You might not have seen an RPG the last time you were in a book store, the reason is like porno in video stores, shopkeepers often keep their RPGs in the very back where common shoppers won’t find them!
I will be Joining Joan Peterson in a Bi-Partisan effort to close this loophole and make sure all RPGs are sold with an NFA Tax stamp, full background check, and written permission from a Chief law-enforcement officer!
And maybe we can have them banned!!!! It’s for the CHILDREN!!!!
They don’t call them hit dice for nothin’
Nerd!
I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE
BWWAAAAAHHHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
By the second paragraphi knwe where you were going. Well played sir.
I kept g33king out every time I read that quote (seriously I’ve read about 5 other blogs that all were LOL’ing over that stupid quote) that I couldn’t leave well-enough alone.
I’ve bought explosive devices mounted on battle robots. This was a completely legal action on my part–and completely unregulated by the government. While some people might believe that such actions are irresponsible, I believe that encouraging a youngster’s destructive imagination is very important.
Wanna hear something REALLY G33ky? I’ve never played a game of Mech Warrior, but damn if I can’t watch people play it for hours. It’s the only spectator sport I can watch…and I can’t even watch a 10min IDPA highlights video without my eyes crossing!
I bought dozens of RPGs in _high_school_. Some of them were even from private sellers operating in school zones.
HAPPY CAPSLOCK DAY! SHHH! QUIT TRYING TO WORK WITH JOANIE! KEEP IT UP, SHE’LL FIGURE OUT THAT “FPS” DOESN’T MEAN “FEET PER SECOND”!
