Hey Look, A Bigot!

Joe found this post, and covered the tip of the bigot’s hand to why he won’t debate people who don’t agree with him. I’ll simply cover his Open Bigotry

We were browsing through the peach aisle when my wife urgently pulled me aside: “Did you see that guy?”

“What guy?” I craned my neck to peek around behind her.

“Don’t look. He might shoot.”

“Whaaaat?!” That really captured my attention. Sure enough, some corpulent 80-year-old a**hole was standing in front of the donut peaches, packing a pistol. Rosewood-checkered grip, tooled-leather holster, the whole bit. Not a law enforcement guy, just some retired jerkoff who evidently wanted to enhance the perceived size of his schlong.

Cue Robb Allen Icon!

I mean not to mention the sick myopic nature that could only see one reason why an elderly gentleman might carry a gun…and of course call him every name in the book because of it. Just to solidify my point I browsed his other articles. Didn’t take me long to find This one

But we really need to teach people how to drive more defensively. So how about replacing the airbag with a spike? If you run into something, no airbag. Instead, a huge, sharp spike pops out of the steering wheel.

We would instantly become a country of courteous drivers.

Well, perhaps not quite instantly.

It might take a couple of weeks for all the idiots to impale themselves.

Yep you get into a accident you’re an “Idiot” and deserve to die.

Kinda reminds me of this:

For even more disturbing images check out the making-of video and the joy the children see in killing other for an ideology

We can’t let their side win.

Personally, I think he’s a lying sack-o-sh*t…what most likely happened is that the store manager told him that if he didn’t like it, there’s the door and BTW, don’t let it hit your ass on the way out.

His comments show that the liberal mindset really is one of sheeple needing to be told when to get up, what kind of food is healthy for you, what color Prius to drive, what kind of toilet to put in your house, how many squares you can use to wipe your arse with, when to get up, when to go to sleep, etc. etc. ad nauseum.

He proves that he is an idiot, because had the 80 year old been carrying CONCEALED, their blissfully ignorant life would have continued uninterrupted, they wouldn’t have been aware of the ZOMG! GUN! in their midst, and they would have gone on with their life, gone home and rolled around in fields of periwinkle whilst counting the unicorns and butterflies.

What slays me is that he immediately played the *victim* card, and claimed that folks on the internet are akin to stalkers trying to pick a fight with someone expressing an opinion. He fails to understand that there is a COMMENTS feature to blogs so as to foster a give-and-take, a discussion of ideas, and to keep bullsh*t artists like this one in check by giving others the ability to call him out on his bloviatnig.

    What a yambag….

    • Weerd Beard says:

I would make a quick disclaimer that he mentions this is a “natural-foods grocery store”. While I know lots of gun-packing conservatives, and generally open-minded moderates who shop in such places, places like Whole Foods Market tend to be massive collection points for out-of-their-mind ultra-leftist hippies and European Socialists.
      http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/values/live-lobster.php

      Case-in-point.

So while I suspect that this goofy discrepancy
http://www.wallsofthecity.net/2010/09/doing-the-legwork.html (For those who won’t read the long post, WizardPC went to various places in Tennessee that “Ban Firearms” and found that most of them aren’t actually posted, so legally DON’T Ban firearms) Is store owners not caring WHO shops at their store, so long as they don’t disrupt other customers (as a man with a 1911 quietly selecting peaches was doing) and pay for their stuff, their business is welcome. But also if a group wants to rock the boat, “The Customer Is Always Right” falls into place. Which always translated to me when I was in sales “Agree with them, even if they’re wrong and stupid, then take their money and don’t change a thing”

  2. My favorite is how he describes his wife, from Europe, who can’t understand America’s “Medieval” laws. Here’s how he describes her

“is the Hungarian word for ‘pr*ck.’ When she starts peppering her conversation with Magyar expletives, it’s a pretty good indication she’s having no trouble at all with her English. ”

here’s how he talks about his step-son

“but I’ve been trying to pass along some of my father’s lessons to my adult stepson. When he visited from Hungary a few years back”

Hungary was Communist until 1989. That makes his wife, old enough to have an “adult step-son” someone who grew up under communism, and therefore not really fit to call US laws (or Arizona laws) medieval. Perhaps she would like us to immitate her homeland?

  3. “Personally, I think he’s a lying sack-o-sh*t…what most likely happened is that the store manager told him that if he didn’t like it, there’s the door and BTW, don’t let it hit your ass on the way out.”

yep, probably true. for those who like to put up “No guns allowed” signs, there is always this card.

    http://paopencarry.org/no-guns-no-money-cards

    • Weerd Beard says:

Those cards are the best idea in the gun-rights world. They don’t provoke conflict, and can’t be deemed as a threat. But also it allows you to walk out and stop patronizing an establishment, while still having the management recognize that you WERE a customer, and may be again, but not until they change a policy you disagree with.

Its the same idea that I really liked where gunnies went to Starbucks and bought some items, then scanned and emailed their receipt to Starbuck’s corporate headquarters. That way it was VERY non-confrontational. I mentioned on BB&Guns that having an internet pseudonym is great for talking about real-life carry, as you generally don’t find many opportunities to say in conversation “Hey I’m packing a gun right now!” and have it be appropriate. Shaking a manager’s hand and thanking them for their support of the right to carry might be deemed as something more than it is. So an email with a receipt says everything, and says it very clearly.

  4. Stan says:

No wonder that guy hates other people carrying guns, he practically went into a rage over seeing someone carrying a pistol while getting his groceries. And if he, a perfect specimen of progressiveness, could get angry over something like that why those knuckle dragging redneck gun owners must just be bombs waiting to go off.

    • Weerd Beard says:

Yeah, just count the time this guy calls a total stranger an insulting name (of course from his hiding place behind his keyboard) or makes some reference to impending violence, like the guy would shoot him for looking at him…or even for calling him a prick. (I drive in Boston traffic, If I pulled my gun every time somebody called me a prick, or an asshole, or some other nasty-gram, they would have caught me and put me away forever!)

Oh and this gem “And it’s not like this white-bread neighborhood is dangerous. The worst criminals you have are jaywalkers.” You know, because if some black or hispanic people were around, #1 it would be OK to pack a gun, and #2, The Unarmed Author would happily not be there. Not even TRYING not to be an openly bigoted asshole.

And his lack of shame assumes we all feel the same way.

  5. Bubblehead Les says:

Of course, if some one tried to rob the store while the anti was shopping, he’d be the first to hide behind his wife while screaming at the Old Patriot to SHOOT the robber, all the while pissing in his pants. As for his Hungarian Wife, she’s probably one of the Children of the Hungarian Elite who got to shop in the “Special Stores” in Budapest while having a Summer Home on Lake Balaton, like my Uncle was able to do as Head Coach of the Hungarian Handball Team.

    • Weerd Beard says:

Now there’s a story I’d love to hear, Les! I always loved to hear stories of the “Old Country” from the Polish fishermen when I used to ship out with them. Growing up during the Cold War you get steeped in all the horrors of the Iron Curtian, and of course being politically conservative/libertarian, I hear lots of horrors of Socialism. But nothing compares to hearing tales of people shopping in empty stores, Selling AK-47s to the Russian mob in exchange for cases of Vodka, showing up drunk to work because they couldn’t fire you, only re-assign you to another state-job. And of course their daring escapes. (Most of the Polish Ex-Pats I knew worked on the Polish factory ships of the 1980s and dove into the cold waters in Boston or New York, and either swam ashore, or were rescued by tender vessels where they declared political asylum. And they would take up residence in the Polish neighborhoods of the area with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

I know more than a few people who have given up EVERYTHING they had in this world to escape oppression or certain death from a tyrannical government, and there are certain parts of me who want to believe it is nothing more than political grand-standing rather than the honest truth.

  6. some retired jerkoff who evidently wanted to enhance the perceived size of his schlong

You ever notice the anti-rights folks are always the ones to bring up the penis jokes first? Methinks they have their own endowment issues.

    • Weerd Beard says:

Given that most of us are happily married, many of us with kids, it DOES seem like a pretty odd point, doesn’t it…unless you take the angle of projection.

And well look at what a violent hateful person he is! You have to wonder…. Not that the size of his dick has any relevance to me…of course the feeling isn’t mutual.

    • mike w. says:

some retired jerkoff who evidently wanted to enhance the perceived size of his schlong.

The easy solution is to carry your gun and your shlong out in the open.

  7. Dragon says:

    Weer’d…
Next time we’re together at a blogshoot I’ll tell you about my grandparents (dads side) and my dad…they escaped Yugoslavia in 1956,made it to the USA in 1958 after spending 2 years in Italian camps as political refugees.

I’m first gen born on these shores…I got the stories right from those who were involved, and believe me, Europeans who decided to stay there were willing to crouch and lick their Masters hands. This bint that the Libtard is married to is typical sheeple that feels the gov’t is Godlike.

    • Weerd Beard says:

I would love to hear them. There are real monsters in this world, and there are many people who seem in love with allowing themselves to be devoured by it. We must remember.

  8. Linoge says:

Let us not forget to properly invoke Markley’s Law in this particular circumstance! Granted, that particular Law was only used by this particular idiot as a stepping stone to larger and better things, but it is still worth noting if we want the phrase to be adopted into the common language :).

Personally, I love it how he views an openly-carried firearm as an insult and an affront, but has absolutely no problems indicating that he and his wife have murderous intentions towards open carriers, even to the point of attempting to instigate a situation where they can murder the person in question. The number of ways that is atrociously, heinously wrong just boggle the mind…

    • Weerd Beard says:

Again cowardice + Projection + Mock Machismo when hiding behind a blog = This situation.

I mean this Old man with a carry piece has NO idea he sparked all of this, because nobody felt the need to inform HIM of the situation, where he likely could have said somthing reasonable like “Oh is this a problem? Its like 150 outside and I just didn’t want to wear a vest to conceal this.” or “This is a custom 1911 in an $800 Tooled leather holster, why would I want to cover it up?” or maybe “Darlin’ unless you’re attacking me the only thing I’m a threat to is these peaches which I intend to chew on!” ect.

But since he’s a violent jerk he projects his own animus onto this unwitting guy, and so now he goes from a guy buying peaches to a mass-murderer casing the joint for impending slaughter….so he’s not ATTACKING this man, he’s RETALIATING….tho again not in a way that amounts to anything (its the liberal way).

And very possibly this guy was such a pants-shitting coward he feels the need to gin up this violent and angry post to make himself feel better for being scared out of his wits by an old man buying peaches in a hippie-dippy grocery store.

      • Linoge says:

The sad thing is that he seems to be indicating, in his most-recent “I deleted everything ’cause I was skeered!” post, he seems to indicate that the open carrier in question was fictional, and that, of course, this was all just a joke.

I am starting to think that “coward” might be a compliment for this particular piece of filth.

Righteous intellectual rage as comedy is hard to do well. That is why George Carlin is revered as a comic, and this guy is, well, not so revered. I actually liked the spike wheel idea – sort of a parallel to an armed society being a polite society, in a paranoid manner. But to claim one has gotten death threats and then NOT to publicize them on his blog – either he doesn’t like or understand how to get publicity for his blog, or he is also making them up, or he has not the sense to act properly in his own self interest, his own self defense.

I’d have tracked down the perpetrators of any death threats, publicized it, and documented the arrest, conviction and sentencing of the scum who sent them. What better way to prevent anyone from acting on such a threat, than to jail them?

    • mike w. says:

Claiming mean old gun owners are threatening you is a common tactic among anti-gun bloggers. In fact I can’t remember a single anti-gunner I’ve encountered since I started blogging who hasn’t claimed he/she was getting nasty, threatening comments & e-mails from gunnies.

To this day not one of them has shown any evidence of such threats, which leads me to believe they’re just whining and trying to make us look bad.
