Quote of the Day: Not Thinking

Joan Peterson of the Brady Campaign, Million Mom March, and a puppet of the Joyce foundation is an idiot…but then again with a resume like her’s what else could you be?

I think it would be a good idea to go back to the days of the “mob” and the machine guns shooting up people in restaurants and bars. Those were the good old days, weren’t they?

Not thinking are you, hon? Remember WHY We had the Mob, and all those Machine Guns?

Probably not, Just like the modern-day Marxists, gun-control advocates seem to be unaware of this thing called “History”….unless their Masters at Joyce and Brady tell them about it in a press release….

  1. That was pretty much my response. I said that since the current crop of “mob,” the drug gangs, were still shooting Chicago up, I couldn’t see the difference. I went on to say that as far as I could tell, the dead were only of concern to her so she could hide behind them while pushing her disarmament agenda.

Every day I am more amazed at the twisted thought processes of that woman. She is genuinely shocked to the core that anyone would advance the notion that regular folks should be able to buy new (rather than pre 1986) machine guns. To her it is as if we ripped off our masks and declared allegiance to Cthulu. And then ate a puppy. She seriously believes that machine guns are so out of bounds that she doesn’t have to even attempt an argument past “you’re wrong, no one agrees with you.”

    • Weerd Beard says:

She believes that anything to do with guns are so out-of-bounds she doesn’t even have to attempt an argument outside of linking the latest Joyce-Funded “Study”

    • Weerd Beard says:

Hey, now she’s threatening to call the cops on you! I dunno about you, but I think it would be funny if she did. You’d probably have grounds for a restraining order and get her guns taken away 🙂

      • Linoge says:

Yup, that comment pretty much made my day right there. Here we have a pro-rights activist calmly discussing the factual legalities surrounding lawful-to-own devices and pieces of equipment, and the irrational, knee-jerk-reactionary anti-rights nut wants to call the cops on him.

        For… what… exactly?

At this point, I have completely lost interest in engaging her at all, but when she says idiotic stuff like that in response to a wholly legitimate and legal conversation, it almost becomes worth it, especially given how wound up she gets over the “popular opinion” and whatnot else. ‘Cause, y’know, calling the cops on someone for lawful activities is definitely the way to demonstrate that you are grounded in “common sense” and “mainstream sensibilities”…

  2. Bob S. says:

I can’t remember where I saw the numbers or the exact figure but it seems that even in the height of the ‘machine gun crime’ wave it was a fraction of 1% of all machine guns.

Pretty much like today — a few, admittedly brutal, crimes are sensationalized and used to control people.

  3. bluesun says:

HEY! Quit crushing her nice little anti-rights pocket dimension! Especially stop using your evil lies–this so called “History”, and “Common Sense”–to do it, as it really just isn’t that nice.

  4. Wally says:

That thread is a hoot. As a NFA junkie, it is taking all that I can do to not jump in on that thread…

Recently, DDs fell under WMD classification. Glad I have a few. Does that mean that I am more heavily armed than Iraq under Hussein ? Oh noes, the capitalistas are going to invade and hang me 🙂

  5. Wally says:

My buddy said it best when he figured the sheriff would be in favor of my artillery. Specifically, he said “that way when they come to invade, they wont have to bother with bringing tanks”

  6. Newbius says:

Those who advocate for government monopoly on power are merely condescending to entertain themselves with your assertions of rights. When, as we all know, those rights derive from the consent of the government and will be exercised over the objections of the governed. Didn’t Stalin and Sarah Brady teach you anything?

  7. Eck! says:

Yep, she forgets Clyde Barrow was a criminal and sole the BAR (machine gun) he preferred to use from the police!
Criminals will steal guns, this should not be a new flash and they will steal from those that have them, like the police,
army, and national guard. It’s been done before, and likely will again despite security.

What the mob fought over was the prohibited (banned!) alcohol and beer and the vast amounts of money
it represented. Personally the whole mob and machine guns things was too much TV/Hollywood and far too facts.

    EcK!

  8. Bubblehead Les says:

Actually, I think we need to engage this Peterson idiot as often as we can. You know, keep pressing her Buttons until her Head explodes. One other thing: Didn’t Capone own a Hardware Store, thus supplying his Goons with all the Firearms they needed, or was that just an Urban Myth?

    • Weerd Beard says:

Yeah, it seems the more you push an anti-rights goon, the absurd the shit that comes out of their mouth, and the more batshit-insane we can prove them to be, the better case we have for rolling back the laws they advocate!
