“Gun Death” Aluminum Bat

You can’t use an aluminum bat in Major League Baseball, probably because it can be used as a MURDER WEAPON!

Detectives continued Wednesday to investigate the unprovoked beating death of a 74-year-old man in a Wal-Mart store in Lakewood, allegedly by a homeless man.

The apparently unprovoked attack took place Tuesday afternoon in the sporting-goods section of the Wal-Mart on Carson Street, according to a report by the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.

The assailant took an aluminum bat and began striking the older man, who was pronounced dead in the store aisle. Witnesses told police the attacker was homeless. It was unclear whether the men knew each other.

Why would anybody have a baseball bat? And why does Wal-Mart sell them without background checks?

Also you hear various antis who encounter somebody open carrying in a Wal-Mart, or a Supermarket, and their hew and cry is always “Why do they think they NEED a gun in the store? What are they AFRAID OF?”

I would say a hobo beating a man to death in the sporting goods section is pretty darn scary, and that would be a time when I would indeed NEED a gun.

But those who use the Metric of “Gun Death” are never ones to respond to facts or scenarios…well unless they fit their world view.

And one can go to Wal-Mart and get Knives, Axes, Machetes, Lighters, Hair Spray, Starter Fluid, etc. Why, it’s a Virtual Merchant of Death! There Needs to be a Federal Agency and Personnel assigned to EVERY Hardware Store and Big Box Retailer to Strip Search and Verify that Every Shopper is of Legal Age, has been Qualified, and has paid for the Privilege of Using His/her Right to Play Softball!

And as with most objects, the bat was first used as a club and later adapted for non-violent uses.

There is no way the antis can claim that any bat wasn’t first and foremost a weapon — yet they still try.

Other aspects of this is of interest to me — Lakewood Ca is 108 miles from San Diego Ca where I spent 5 days.

I can walk around any city in the state carrying a baseball but I am prohibited from exercising my right to keep and bear arms in California.

Hopefully H.R. 822 will pass soon otherwise I’ll be checking a bag at the airport with some sporting equipment in it.
