Ammo Scare

I hear people are panic buying again!

I hope things are TOO bad, I just realized my Nephew is coming down this weekend, and given that my reloading press is Tango-Uniform, I’m a bit light in a few common pistol calibers. I’m going to try and stock up tonight. Hopefully the cupboards won’t be totally bare.

Also think of how much we’re winning that my teenage Nephew is totally willing to sit on a bus for a jillion hours just so he can spend some mad crazy time with his nutty Uncle at a shooting range?

Either way I’m loaded for bear in rifle, .22 and shotgun, and have enough for a Whitman’s sampler of everything else. Also I suspect Massholes aren’t as panicky as Real-America, as the biggest threat is that America might become more like Massachusetts.

WalMart just over the border was down to .44 Magnum and .25 ACP yesterday. Not a single round of 9mm or .45 to be found, and absolutely no .223 Rem.

    Plenty of .30-06, .30-30, and 12 gauge, though…

Times like this I’m glad I reload.

(And have stocked up on components).

On the upside these are non-perishables.

Well I reload, but my cheap-ass Lee Pro1000 has officially ended its lifespan (about 10,000 rounds by rough count). So my mountain of components aren’t good for much until I get the Dillon 650 I have my eyes on.

I guess I COULD use my Lee Challenger, but it takes almost 2 hours for me to run out 100 rounds with that press. I save that guy just for rifles, and odd balls.
