The Texas Dad Won’t Face Charges!

Hearing his 5-year-old daughter crying from behind a barn, a father ran and discovered the unthinkable: A man molesting her. The father pulled the man off his daughter, authorities say, and started pummeling him to death with his fists.

Caught a sexual assault in the act, and did what he could to stop it. Of course this story isn’t a “Gun Death”, so the antis are ignoring it. But I wonder what they would say about his “Duty to Retreat” if he had killed this man with his gun rather than his fists?

Best wishes to the family, and especially the little girl who went through hell, and the Dad who had to bring hell to save her.

    YAAAAY!!!!!

First of all, let me say how terrible it is that this litter girl was assaulted and I think that it’s a tragedy both that it happened, and that the rapist died so quickly.

That said, it’s ultimately good for our cause because 1) it illustrates the idiocy of “Call the police and wait;” 2) it is the very definition of a “good homicide”; and 3) demonstrates that it is, indeed, perfectly possible for a man to kill another man with his bare hands and without recourse to guns or knives or even sharp sticks, thus proving that it is, indeed, sensible to carry a gun at all times.

I think Mr. Rapist died so quickly because of dumb luck. Dad called for an Ambulance stating concern that the jerk was dying. I think dumb luck and a dump truck load of rage and adrenaline turned his fist deadly, rather than intent.

Still you are 100% correct that unarmed does non mean “non deadly threat”, and dumb luck can play a HUGE part. A simple shove could result in somebody falling off the curb and suffering a fatal skull fracture, or might put them in the way of an oncoming car.

As long as “beaten to death” is a valid cause of death, one doesn’t need any tools to kill another person.

It also gives a counterexample on the idea of “Duty to Retreat”.

And the “no candle for you” farce.

I would have called for an ambulance too, regardless.

And reading this, I repeat my invitation for Martha to kiss my self-help enabled arse.

It feels wrong to be so jubilant that he won’t be charged. There never should have been any question of the outcome.

Yeah, but those are not the times we live in. Maybe these times will change, but right now you always have to wonder if a clear cut case of justifiable homicide will be pushed as murder. This goes DOUBLE once the national press picks it up.

Justice is supposed to be blind…but these days it works VERY different depending on how many eyes are watching.

Works for me. God bless Texas.

But it would have been soooooooo satisfying to see him stand up in court and say, “Your Honor, I declare myself innocent because that was a man that needed killin’.”

    And succeeding.
