Sean talks about Zimmerman’s Arrest.

So what we know is that George Zimmerman was handcuffed and his weapon was taken from him. He was placed in the back of the police car, given first aid, and transported to the interview room of the Sanford Police Department.

How can anyone spin this as not arrested?

Because they never wanted him “Arrested”, they wanted Zimmerman lynched from the nearest tree for a racist murder, and facts and due process be damned.

Jennifer talks about race bullshit.

I have friends. They are individuals and of particular value to me because of who they are. They don’t need an ethnic adjective to be special to me, to be a part of my tribe. I don’t need to fill some affirmative action quota because I’m concerned about the content of your character and not the color of your skin.

Sure my friends come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. Not a one of them is black or white. I had a big box of Crayola brand crayons growing up, you can’t fool me. Everyone I’ve ever met is somewhere in the range of beige to brown and you generally had to blend a couple of the colors to get a good match. Huh. There might just be some kind of metaphor in there.

That’s some good writing right there.

Go read both of them!

Well, to add more confusion there is a vid out now of Zimmerman at the police station. It’s a bit distant, but I can’t see any injuries, unless the EMS folks fixed him up good.

  2. Thanks for the link, Weer’d.

@RWC: Look at the divot in the back of his head at 1:05. Just before the 1 minute mark you can see the cop looking at the back of his head. Great job by ABC news putting up the “exclusive” logo right on his head for most of the vid.

I see it now. (i’m viewing it on a tablet. I’ll get a better view tomorrow at work. Thanks.

      • Weerd Beard says:

From the video you can see an injury (tho the resolution is bad, and it obviously isn’t enough to require serious stitching) and his face doesn’t look really bashed in. But again the resolution is bad, and ABC was nice enough the obscure the part of the film we’re interested in. That HAS to be intentional.

That being said right after a fistfight the most visible injury are blood stains (which the EMTs likely washes away when cleaning the wounds) and minor swelling.

I suspect the two big pieces of evidence of this case will be photos taken by Zimmerman’s lawyer the next day (when all the fist marks will have turned black and will be at full swelling, all abrasions will be scabbed over, and likely he’ll get Zimmerman to take off his shirt and pants so we’ll see any injuries to his chest back and legs.

The other will be Martin’s tox report. Martin will certainly test positive for THC as he’d likely smoked it in the last few weeks when traces can still be detected. But if harder drugs like Cocaine, Methamphetamine, “Bath Salts”, or strong psychoactive show up, a big case can be made that Martin would have been violent that night to ANYBODY who approached him.

  3. RWC says:

But, but, didn’t they already say that Martin came up negative! (Don’t know where they got their info, but that is their claim.)

One thing that I have been wondering, and it is silly, is where did the skittles and tea meme come from? Was it in a police report? Talk to the shop owner? Did he tell his GF what he bought? Did Zimmerman tell the police what Trayvon was holding?

Like I said, silly, but the way this has been handled I wouldn’t be surprised if they made it up out of thin air to further their ‘innocent lil’ cherub’ depiction of him.

    • Weerd Beard says:

The Police report I’ve seen are just the officers taking Zimmerman into custody and performing CPR on Martin. The crime scene investigators likely did all the work with the body, as well as items found on the scene. The responding officers note it was a black PF9 in a belt holster, but they don’t note if it was fired or how many rounds were in the gun or say if the fired round was still in the chamber (which would happen if Martin had his hand on the muzzle.)

There is SO much we didn’t see. Also all we have from Zimmerman’s report is his lawyer’s press statement, and the line the reporting officer overheard from Zimmerman talking to the EMT.

It will all come out in the trial. I will say that there is so much information we haven’t seen, yet Zimmerman still hasn’t been charged, which I think speaks volumes.

      • RWC says:

Exactly. Like I said from the beginning, if he hasn’t been charged there is a LOT not being told. The pressure from the public would have most people looking to pin a littering citation for the shell casing or a noise disturbance complaint for the gun going BANG. Anything to get the public off their as*. But no, no charges at all.
