“Gun Death” Van

They say Mini-Vans are some of the safest cars on the road!

A passenger in a van was killed in what police termed a “freak accident” at a Corpus Christi Wal-Mart, KIII-TV is reporting.

The woman, 45, was riding in the front passenger seat of a van as it pulled into the store’s parking lot, the Corpus Christi station says. For some reason, she got out of the vehicle before it stopped moving, apparently slipped and a wheel rolled over her head.

Using the same methods as those who use the metric of “Gun Death” we need to ban all vans! Its only “Common Sense”!

Hmm, originally read the TV stations call sign as Kill-TV, and I thought, wow how morbidly interesting that there is a news outlet dedicated solely to “killings”. Imagine my disapointment…

I can see that we need to start licensing people to be passengers in motor vehicles.

What do you think? An 8 hour course with 25 multiple choice test at the end and a ‘real world’ scenario test to ensure the applicant can put the lessons into practice?

Or maybe we should make all passengers complete a law enforcement officer training academy; that way they will be as qualified as cops.

And don’t even get me started on the need for common sense regulations of ‘child safety locks’. Heck, cars don’t automatically prevent children from opening doors; ADULTS actually have to set those switches manually.

Clearly, we must ban such hi-capacity assault vehicles with the side door things that go up!

  4. Jack says:

Oh if only we had safe stowage laws that mandated door interlocks when a car is in motion.

    Think of the children!

Well, technically, you can “hunt” (or at least take game) with a minivan. Unfortunately, if the game is large enough not to be totally squishified, it’s large enough to put a hurt on the minivan….
