Happy Starbucks Day!

Unfortunately I woke up with a splitting sinus headache. I’ll be attending to it with rest and medicine, and if I feel a bit perked up later in the day I’ll make a trip to Starbucks.

Still if have a blog where you post pictures or talk about your pro-Second Amendment day at Starbucks post a link here. Also if you have a photo you’d like me to host email it to weerdbeard (AT) Gmail (DOT)com with “Starbucks” in the subject line.

Also for the LOLz Les Submitted the Offical CSGV carry rig for Starbucks Day

Carry more than just a candle and a tube sock! And have a great day in the greatest country in The World!

My post is here, Weer’d. Thanks for doing this, and thanks to Shall Not Be Questioned for the instigation.

  2. RWC says:

I get the candle, but the tube sock?

And I still have a flip phone so no photos, but got a cup and some snacks for coworkers.

  3. 45er says:

Ok, here we go again, Weer’d. I hope you knock another one out of the park.

  4. Expect a post later tonight (probably after you’ve hit the sack). Wife has a 12 hour shift today 0700 to 1900 so we’re going after she gets off work.

I’ll be posting a picture of my receipt. I just hope they have cases of VIA still by the time I get there.

Been there, done that. I’ll support another Starbucks in the afternoon.
It’s nice to give a middle finger to the anti-rights crown on my birthday.

    Been there, bought that…blogged it!

Ran into a couple of other gunnies (unarranged) as well. Awesome sauce!

  9. I’ll be blogging my first visit to Starbucks in 10 years. And my second one. There might even be a third tonight as it’s range night and the other bloggers might want to go.

Took my wife and two youngest kids (2, 3.5) to our local Starbucks. I had hot chocolate with salted caramel (YUM!), my wife had her coffee, we got some baked goods, and paid entirely in $2 bills. I also sent an e-mail to Starbucks HQ, explaining what we had done and why (and thanking them for staying apolitical in re 2nd Amendment issues).

I’m not expecting any sort of statement from Starbucks that, in spite of the boycott, they had more sales than usual today. That would deviate from being apolitical. Oh, well.

  11. Daniel in Brookline says:

Oh, and I should have mentioned… we also met with my wife’s ex this morning (to discuss ongoing kid issues etc.). I believe he’s fairly anti-gun… but I noticed that he and his wife had gotten their usual Starbucks coffee this morning. I wanted to mention the issue to him, but decided not to.

My guess is that the vast majority of Starbucks customers today will never have heard of this issue. Just sayin’. I still think that the Buycott symbolism is important, and I’m glad so many gunnies are taking part.

I went with their hot chocolate and a slice of pumpkin bread. If you’re going to “take one for the team,” it’s best to take a low-powered round. Just saying…

  13. Jack says:

    Hope you feel better.

Right now enjoying a hot chocolate and a cookie.
OC’d and no one said boo, which might be a case of Condition White more than anything else.

  14. Wolfman says:

Went this morning, first thing. I usually drink my coffee at home, from the pot, much more frugally than Starbucks. Sent them a note, explaining the same, and saying thanks. Say, by the way, have any of the anti-gunners posted pictures of their anti-coffee? Hard to prove a boycott, isn’t it?

  15. AuricTech says:

Since my nearest Starbucks doesn’t allow any sort of carry (it’s in the middle of a Federal military installation, so Federal law applies), I did what I could to increase their business and document my explicit buycott participation.
