Again Overlooking Reality

So the antis are chattering about this story:

According to federal prosecutors, Parks bought three assault rifles from men reselling guns they’d purchased from licensed gun dealers, including Cabela’s. One seller told police he bought the AR-15-style rifle after a gunman killed 20 children and six adults at an elementary school in Sandy Hook, Conn. He told investigators he bought the rifle because there would be “none were left in the stores” following the mass slaying.

Sentencing him to eight years in prison Thursday, U.S. District Judge Thomas Zilly said Parks’ conduct “illustrates how easy it is for anyone to buy firearms online or on the street,” according to a U.S. Attorney’s Office statement. Parks remains jailed pending his tranfer to federal prison….

Dressed in green BDUs and a camouflage “boonie” hat, Parks dropped a meth pipe after officers handcuffed him. Police seized the weapons – as well as methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicles – but ultimately let Parks go.

So much bullshit! So first they didn’t “Let Parks Go”, he was convicted of a crime and stripped of his legal right to own guns. When he was later caught with illegally acquired guns he is now being sent away for a damn long time. Also I suspect the people who sold him the guns are also in deep trouble.

This is how the system works, and it works well. Nobody was harmed by this guy, and now he’s in prison. Yet the antis want MORE?

Further again the anti-gun people are stepping over dead bodies. They’re concerned with how he got guns…but what about the METH?

During 2010 (the year in which the latest national NVSS mortality data are available), a total of 40,393 drug-induced deaths occurred in the United States.

compared to “Gun Deaths” that’s 10,000 more dead bodies the antis stepped right over to get to their pet issue. Also unlike guns, Meth is 100% illegal to buy, sell, own or produce!

To them only “Gun Deaths” count, and even when a criminal is locked up without ever actually physically hurting somebody, they get all concerned and demand ACTION!

Wait, how was that “easy”? He’s spending the next eight years in federal prison.

You see “Easy” means it happened. So they want universal background checks to be passed.

Meanwhile in Massachusetts they constantly claim, even with our Universal Background checks and egregious may-issue permits that are tied to ownership as well as carry, guns are “too easy” for criminals to get, so we need MORE laws.

The answer to “Progressives” is ALWAYS MORE GOVERNMENT!!!
