“Gun Death” Another Honor Killing

Man these Honor killings. There’s nothing honorable about them!

A young couple in Pakistan were tied up and had their throats slit with scythes after they married for love, police said Saturday.

…The girl’s mother and father lured the couple home late on Thursday with the promise that their marriage would receive a family blessing, said local police official Rana Zashid.

“When the couple reached there, they tied them with ropes,” he said. “He (the girl’s father) cut their throats.”

Classy, huh? Good thing they didn’t have a gun! Otherwise there would have been a “Gun Death” and this might be an important story!

How any father could do this to his daughter is beyond me.

I mean, she married the young man, so it’s not like she had premarital sex or got pregnant with an illegitimate child (not that that would make this OK, either, but still…).

There’s no getting around it: their culture is f*cked up.

Off topic: When Jim Brady died, I half-jokingly asked if they were going to count him as a “gun death”. Well, they did…
