“Gun Death” Crossbow

Not even for a good reason:

A 17-year-old boy is accused of killing his own father in Delaware with a crossbow.

…According to the police affidavit, the teen told police he had skipped classes Tuesday at Lake Forest High School and stayed home.

“He said that his father was in his bedroom from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. he knew when his father came out he would be mad so he shot him,” the affidavit said.

He was cutting class, and knew his dad would be mad at that…so rather than take a lecture he committed an act of murder!

Also of course we note that no guns were used, so again it isn’t the tools, it’s the person.

But still only “Gun Death” Counts!

Yeah, “Gun Death”. April 24th the Trumbull County (Ohio) coroner reported 16 confirmed heroin OD deaths so far this year (2015), with probably 27 more heroin OD deaths yet to be confirmed. We’re on track, the coroner went on, to having 125 heroin OD deaths for the year. Trumbull County population about 206,000.

There were 5 murders reported in Trumbull County in all of 2012. (No breakdown by method in the stats I saw.)

The anti-gun/anti-rights people need to look at the world around them. It’s not all about their “virtue signaling” and their therapeutic hobby politics.

Average annual drug OD deaths in Ohio per 100,000, 2008-2013: 15.0 That’s my local newspaper just this morning reporting state Dept. of Health stats.

I did a quick ‘n’ dirty Wikipedia eye-roll of recent Ohio murder stats per 100,000: 4.0 (all murders), 2.7 (firearm murders).

I’m just not seeing any “gun problem” at all.
