A Manassas woman pleaded guilty to violating federal firearms laws after buying 31 handguns over a two-week span at three Virginia gun shows.
Kimberly Dinkins, 41, pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court in Alexandria to dealing firearms without a license. She faces up to five years in prison.
Court records show that Dinkins resold all of the guns for a profit….A Virginia law limiting individuals to one handgun purchase per month was repealed last year.
Note again this is AFTER the repeal of the Virginia one-gun-a-month.
Also note there is no note of selling guns to prohibited people, and certainly no notes of selling them across state lines.
We have lots of laws, and don’t need any MORE, we just need to enforce the existing laws. Further, what is the HARM of her actions? I’m assuming she didn’t sell to any criminals, as that would have been in the charges as well (tho it may have been plead away, which both wouldn’t surprise me, and would be forsaking a REAL crime for what is essentially tax evasion for not paying the ATF to sell the guns).
We have lots of transactions LIKE this. Hell I own a few James Bond DVDs that were obviously bought in the large box collections, and then re-sold individually for a profit (both parties won, because I found the box sets to have a few good films packaged with crappy ones I don’t want), most summer weekends there is a person on the public walking trails with a cooler filled with water selling the bottles. In the real estate boom we had people “Flipping Houses”.
But again the anti-rights logic is “Guns are different because they are different!”
But…but…. GUN LAWS!
