Affordable Type III Armor

A bit heavy but very appealing price point!

Also a nice advantage that its good for multiple hits without shattering.

Certainly this can be good for a home invasion situation where maybe you hear the entry or your home alarm is tripped, and you have time before your threat engages you, or when you decide to sweep the house to see if the threat has left.

Also its ideal for dangerous jobs…like delivering papers in LA!

  1. When I read that last sentence, I almost spit my drink all over my monitor. And my laptop, sitting in front of my monitor.

    Well played.

I was employed as census taker.

You should have seen my boss’ face when I showed up the wearing my Second Chance vest the day after on census taker was robbed at gun point in another state.

I get the idea. Only thing is, I’ve shot a lot of AR500 plate. I have one. While it’s better than being shot, the shrapnel from that hit is going to cause some pain. I think it’s a cool product, I would just say be prepared for the spray if you’re going to use it. I would think the plate carrier would cut down on a lot of that (I hope). Cool idea. I like the idea of dropping one into a backpack. There are a bunch out now designed to carry a laptop or notebook where that would work perfect.

I’d say if you’re taking incomming fire a little lead splash or jacket spall will be the worst of your worries….unless you take damage to your eyes from it.

I’d say the nylon carrier would slow a lot of that crap down. Lead splash and spall doesn’t have much energy, but for delicate things like eyes it doesn’t take much.
