So we have ficticious gun-maker straw-man talking about the 2nd Amendment, then muzzling a 3D printer owner and destroying his printer. Of course this is going on about the non-issue of 3D printer guns.
First up I’m scratching my head at this given that this in no way has ever happened. Now the .gov is trying to silence the printers, but not the gun makers, and certainly its easy to say the current administration has ZERO respect for ANY items in the Bill of Rights, let alone the 2nd Amendment.
Further this whole 3D printer thing is a non-issue because building a gun from non-gun parts is nothing new, and has been legal forever. Some resources and information on that here and here. Note that all those sites are active and in full operation, with no opposition from the gun industry.
Also I might note that the anti-rights crowd likes to claim that the NRA represents the gun MAKERS not the gun OWNERS….yet they opposed the background check bill that makes it easier to sell USED firearms. You want a law that helps the gun makers, demand all gun sales go through gun shops where their new inventory is available for sale!
Next up is a great example of why the anti-rights people get me SO hot under the collar.

Just makes me PISSED!! I was in Florida with family when the news was covering the Sandy Hook shootings, and we were all horrified at the terrible violence, and the youth of the victims. Still there were several gunnies present and we all had the grim realization that we would be blamed for this, and we would be attacked.
We were right!
I own semi-auto rifles. I own handguns. I own magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. I carry firearms wherever I am allowed to do so. I was in Florida with my family when the shootings happened. Sorry, antis, I have an alibi! Yet still there was call to take my guns away, and take my magazines away, and make buying, selling, and owning guns in a responsible way a criminal act!
Now am I saying I’m a dead child? No! Yet this cartoon makes a dichotomy with an intentionally buffoonish gun owner and dead children. This is just as foolish and inflammatory as drawing a picture of President Obama standing over dead children every time a black man kills or rapes somebody….or Joan Peterson every time a crazy mother kills her children.
Its tenuous at best, and it is indeed a crass attack. The irony of it is whoever penned the comic wants to harm me, and other lawful gun owners as much as that psycho hurt those kids.
