So Much For FOPA

And also more stupidity of Oppressive anti-rights states:

A boxer who was arrested at a New York City airport on gun charges has pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.

Robert Guerrero pleaded to the lesser charge in Queens on Tuesday. He was ordered to pay a $250 fine and complete 50 hours of community service….The 30-year-old fighter presented a locked gun box during check-in at John F. Kennedy International Airport on March 28. The box contained an unloaded .40-caliber handgun and three unloaded magazines. The gun was registered in California but was illegal in New York.

Guerrero says he never intended to violate New York law.

It doesn’t say what his itinerary was, and where he was staying on the East Coast. Still, we should be outraged as HUMANS of a LAWFUL gun owner with an UNLOADED gun in a LOCKED GUN CASE! This is the penultimate victimless crime!

He was simply following the rules and posing ZERO threat to ANYBODY or ANYTHING, and yet Emperor Bloomberg mus have his pound of flesh!

One Response to So Much For FOPA

  1. Archer says:

I’m kinda surprised he tried. It’s fairly well-known that FOPA doesn’t apply in NY airports. Wasn’t there a CCW permit holder from a Southern state (I want to say TN or KY) who got arrested for the same thing at La Guardia?

Still, I agree it’s a stupid, victim-less, malum prohibitum crime, that’s a total non-issue anywhere in the U.S.; it’s now fair to assume that NYC and NY airports are not part of America. Hostile foreign territory, at that.
