Exploiting a Tragedy

The Anti-Freedom activists always claim that the NRA is “Exploiting a Tragedy” to sell guns…which is really closer to the priest or politician who talks about the harms and sins of gays…only to be caught hiring a male prostitute, or fishing for a blowjob in a public bathroom.

The latest Image of the Antis:

Sounds like the FBI found the guy, so this was a legitimate assault rather than a publicity stunt, as some suspected.

Still the anti-rights activists are trying to tar all gun owners with the criminal acts of this one man. The glass houses and stones saying come to mind when the people doing the painting are Michael Bloomberg and Barack Obama (who all you need to do is go to any news site to read the headlines about all the crimes he’s waist-deep in).

Not only are US gun owners no-more responsible for this man’s action, none of us KNEW this guy…hell as I type this I’d need to go back to the article to get his name again, as I’ve already forgotten it. Bloomberg recruited these mayors, and often spoke and campaigned with them, and President Obama appointed and oversaw his staff.

You sure you want to play this game, fellas?

Good lord that was some horrible writing in that article.

  2. Phssthpok says:

Funny… I don’t see anything in that article on the political affiliations/beliefs (if any) of EITHER of those two (the Texas guy and the Washington guy).

How much you wanna bet neither one is of a truly conservative/libertarian/NAP mindset?

  3. TS says:

Wait, he did a google search for “ricin production”? Why hasn’t the government shut that information down like the 3-D gun plans? Clearly this isn’t what the founding fathers had in mind when they drafted the first amendment. /s

Weer’d, you forgot to highlight the money quote:

In New York, a defiant Mayor Bloomberg said he’s got more to fear from Mother Nature than any gun nut firing off ricin-laced letters.

“I have more danger from lighting than anything else,” Bloomberg said. “And I’ll go about my business, and we’re certainly going to keep working on getting guns off the streets, out of the hands of criminals and people with mental problems.”

Bloomberg is correct. Pretty much everyone (who isn’t a gang member) has more to fear from lightning. So why is his efforts focused on removing guns from streets rather than getting everyone to carry around a lightning rod?
