A day before a 12-year-old boy was arrested for the stabbing death of his 8-year-old sister, his mother described him as “protective” of his younger sibling.
Leila Fowler’s killing last month shook the quiet community of Valley Springs, southeast of Sacramento, and set off an intense manhunt. Her brother was in the home at the time and told police he saw a man run from the scene.
Days later, the boy appeared with his parents at a vigil for his sister, and on Friday, as speculation in the community built that perhaps the boy was involved, his mother told Sacramento television station KOVR her son “could never hurt his sister.”
Less than a day later, police delivered the stunning news: The 12-year-old boy had been arrested and will be charged with homicide.
Its still unclear if the boy killed his sister, either way, no gun, no “Gun Death”…so what’s the big deal?

While I don’t doubt this could be the way the police say it, I’m always suspicious of these kinds of reports after a case I read a few years ago. A girl was killed and the police arrested the older brother. They held him in confinement for hours telling him they knew he killed his sister and his parents wanted nothing to do w/ him anymore. They finally ‘convinced’ him to confess.
Turns out the parents had been trying to see him from the beginning, being refused by the police, and that it was actually a transient that had broken into the home who had murdered the girl.
Yeah I’m not convinced of anything here…hence why I don’t directly accuse the boy…only the mode of murder.
Still I did a quick search on the story and still can’t find any evidence of said “Transient”. Not saying it isn’t true.
What I am saying is most of the stories you read about where a “Drifter” murders people it turns out to be a scapegoat.
