I’m watching youtube videos with a fussy baby sleeping on my chest. So let’s all enjoy this Striker 12 video.
I’ve read how these guns worked in books, but never actually seen somebody run one. Wow, what a pain in the ass (and forearm). I didn’t know they sucked that hard.
Better to just get a UTS 15 and be done with it.
The proper response to declaring the Streetsweeper to be a DD should have been to offer a carbine version in .416 Barrett, with, say, a 20 rd cylinder.
Market it as a deterrent to body-armor wearing home invaders.
HOLY SHIT! I hope they’d put a damn bast shield on the cylinder gap of the gun then, as the muzzle blast from .416 Barrett is…well SPIRITED!
So Spirited that such a design would certainly flay an arm open, if it didn’t outright sever it.
Cobray made a .45-70 version of the streetsweeper, all reports I’ve heard have described it as bad with a trigger pull in excess of 25lbs.
Well with a name like “Cobray” you KNOW their first priority is QUALITY! 😉
I still want one. If only because it gets people’s panties in a twist.
That said, you would be better off with a KSG than a UTS. Having handled both (but fired neither), the tube selector switch for the UTS is pretty much right where your nose would be if you had a good cheek weld. IOW, you would be getting a face lift every time you pull the trigger. And while Kel-Tec’s finishing on their guns always gives me a raging case of the heebie jeebies, the UTS’ finishing actually concerned me to the point where I would not feel comfortable shooting it at all.
Ask Oleg. He took pictures for them, but has nothing kind to say.
Yeah, I had JUST handled the UTS-15 just before I met Oleg for the first time, and he is NOT in love with that firearm. I wouldn’t mind testing it for myself.
