Jeff got one, and he likes his:
Jeff is a pro gun writer, so some have complained that he can overlook faults.
I personally have bought several guns upon his good review of them, and I find that he gives fair reviews.
I like the concept of the R-51, as I like single-stack guns for concealed carry and love all the work they’ve done for a low bore axis.
At the price Remington is asking, I’m sure we’ll see a LOT of these in the wild.
Seems to be a perfectly fine gun. I don’t really get all the fuss for it pro/con, though, but I guess if I was in the market for a little 9 I’d be more into it.
I just do not see what this aluminium-framed pistol brings to the table that any of a number of plastic-framed single-stack 9mms do not already have.
But, hey, variety is good :).
