Hell, I eat probably 2/3 of my meals alone, cause I’m on the road so much… grab a book, that’s what I do.
I tuned my phone into a local talk show I really like. It worked.
That would work too, never thought of that! Hm… that would assume I could actually FIND a talk show in some of the places I end up eating…
Heh, I’m with NFO. I mostly eat alone and I LIKE being alone in restaurants. I have peace and quiet while I read. Plus, I can leave a HUGE tip when I’m by myself, and it won’t bankrupt me. 😉
I ate alone at restaurants a lot in my previous job. I’d usually eat after the dinner rush, take a book, and tip well. Nice way to unwind on the road.
Now I hit one of the local diners when I take a car in for service. Pick up a copy of the NY Times and kill a pot of coffee and a plate of home fries and eggs…
