Wow, that went well. Yesterday I was simply testing to see how hard the work would be so I’d know if we needed to set a hard pace or if we could work comfortably. In really only about 4-5 hours with frequent breaks and a leisurely pace I managed to remove the railings, and about 50% of the decking single-handedly. This wasn’t going to be a huge job, tho alone it wouldn’t be fun.
Enter the friends! Jesse and Vector came over and we got down to business. With 3 men and tools the decking was gone in short order. The steps didn’t take very long either. Then we fired up the Sawzall!

Of course I paid my crew well:

BBQ from a local join and a healthy amount of our home brew.
A little more work to get the stray pieces up and we were left with this

Seriously when the home inspector told us the Deck was poorly made he wasn’t kidding. Fucker came apart WAYYYY to easy.
Of course Jesse kept offering to help me demo my garage with the Sawzall. I happen to LIKE my Garage…tho I do like cutting shit up with a Sawzall an awful lot.
OK There’s your pic-filled update. Now I need a shower and some food!

Destruction is fun 🙂
Indeed espeshally when you use power tools and add in some Beer and BBQ.
Also the weather is fantastic today, so you can’t beat it!
Damn, could got some real black and blew the deck to kingdom come!!
🙁
And the house attached to it?
