I paid my 10DM in ’88 to go around that track in my ’73 Passat.
People shouldn’t be too damn self righteous about that CRV guy losing it. The Ring is a very difficult course. Even putting along at 70 km/h there were places where the wheel was not doing anything because of the differences in elevation. It is the sort of track that’s waiting for you to get complacent so that it can bite you, hard.
I watched a 911 that I had just passed spin out, so it’s not just cross-over SUV’s that have problems there.
