Maine Vs. Massachusetts:

Massachusetts police are hunting for the alleged shooter of a 16-year-old Maine girl who was struck in the arm while riding with her family along a major interstate in what authorities are calling a road rage incident.

The girl was traveling with her family on I-495 north in Merrimac, Mass., on Sunday when she was hit by a gunshot from another car. Witnesses told police there had been some sort of highway dispute involving the two cars.

The family was on their way home to Limington, Maine, just after noon on Sunday when the teenager was shot. The girl and three other relatives were returning from a trip to Massachusetts in a white 2002 Nissan Xterra…”Evidence suggests this was a road rage incident between the driver of the car the girl was in and the other car,” State Police spokesman David Procopio told the Boston Herald. “We do not believe the people in the victim’s car and the people in the suspect car knew each other.

In Maine there are really no serious gun restrictions. Anybody who can pass a NICS check can buy a gun TODAY. Carry permits are shall-issue, and there are minimal restrictions on where you can carry in the state.

Massachusetts you need an expensive and may-issue permit to OWN a gun, and carry is also may issue. The guns you can buy are heavily restricted.

Further I have family and friends who live in Limington Maine, and I would be surprised if there was ANY home in that town that didn’t have AT LEAST one gun.

And where did the shooting happen? Yeah! Gun laws are awesome!

This is literally 10-15 minutes from me.

    Yikes.

    I mean:
This is literally 10-15 minutes from me.
But it doesn’t happen here. It must be the… water ?

  3. Greg Camp says:

Well, some gun laws are good, such as what we have here in Arkansas. Others, not so much. Just about everywhere could use some improvement.

Honestly, though? If someone’s shooting at me on the highway, and they’re in a Honda?

They’re about to get a real life lesson in physics, as they learn what happens when a 2,000 pound car meets a three ton truck…
