“Gun Death” Sledge Hammer

Not a gun, so not a “Gun Death”

Police charged a 70-year-old roommate of Robert Roderick with second-degree murder Monday for allegedly beating Roderick to death with a sledge hammer inside his rented beach house last Thursday.

Its almost like it isn’t the tool, its the person:

Peter Bartoloni was incarcerated on an unrelated Hampton charge of failure to register as a sex offender when police arrested him Monday morning on the murder charge, according to assistant attorney general Peter Hinckley and court records.

So here we have a convicted sex offender who was refusing to do his court ordered registration and now he’s murdered another man.

He’s 70 and something tells me he isn’t JUST starting in his criminal lifestyle, but that’s all the story gives.

He didn’t use a gun, but it doesn’t matter. This is why I CARRY a gun. Monsters like this are rare, but they are VERY dangerous, and the law isn’t there to protect us until AFTER he kills somebody…and even then I have my doubts.

Exciting Day

So little LaWeer’da had quite the exciting day. She had a checkup and the Doc said she was doing great!

We also set up her stroller for her infant carseat and took her out for a tour of the neighborhood as it’ll soon be getting cold.

Exciting Day

She was so excited to be outside she slept the WHOLE TIME! 🙂

Then we had our first bath at home. That did NOT go so well. Let’s just say there were a LOT of tears, and then I wrapped her in a towel and dried her off and calmed her down…but she still sniffled and pouted as if to say “Daddy, your betrayed me!”

Sorry honey, but you smelled like a dirty Hobo! It HAD to be done!

There were pictures of that, but they will be saved for when she brings boyfriends to the house!

Now I think we’re all off to bed!

More Gross Daddy Blogging

So I have to tell this story first.

In the weeks leading up to little LaWeer’da’s big debut I got thinking about what I would do in the delivery room. I decided that I would concern myself with my wife and her needs, and leave the yet unborn baby up to the pros in the room. I’ve known my wife for over 20 years, I had never dealt with an emerging baby, so I know where my skills were most needed. This was 100% the right choice.

Second I got thinking about cutting the cord. I decided that A) I really didn’t like the message it sent. Seems kinda disrespectful for the Dad to ceremoniously sever the tie between mom and Baby. It also seems foolish since right now the two of them are lounging on the couch while I type this. No emotional ties were cut. B) There was nothing for me to gain cutting that cord. My Neighbor noted that it was really interesting cutting his daughter’s cord, but he works with computers. I work cutting tissue of various animals, so really this was old hat.

Further said cord was wrapped around little LaWeer’da’s neck when she finally emerged, so the actual cutting was quickly and professionally done so nobody got hurt. They did ask me if I wanted to trim the excess from her, and I politely refused.

Ok so now onto today’s story. You remember how in my last post I was doing baby laundry. Well the other day when Little Miss had a diaper leak, and we were changing her outfit I noticed her cord stump had fallen off. Mrs. Weer’d was a bit concerned, but I noted there was no redness or swelling and all looked pretty good, so we moved on.

We never found the remnant.

Now I think you know where this is going. Guess what Daddy found in the lint trap of the washer!

Ambilicle Stump

Yep, a fully laundered umbilical stump! This was WAY cooler than cutting that cord in the delivery room, as the significance is little Miss is working hard to prepare herself for adult life…and its a little trophy for Dad who was nice enough to do her poopy laundry!

Of course said trophy was photographed and then tossed in the trash….I’m not THAT weird!

OK onto more of this!

Scatology

For those who are fans of Vicious Circle and The Squirrel Report You’ll know I find poop and poop jokes amusing.

Well having a daughter has only encouraged that. This weekend I grossed out my Dad by proudly producing a filled diaper my daughter proudly filled. Last night I learned projectile poop is a thing!

Looked like Deli Mustard being squeezed out of the bottle with force.

And I’m washing a changing pad liner!

“Gun Death” Ice Cream Truck

Sad and Ironic

An 8-year-old girl has died after being struck by an ice cream truck she was trying to catch in Kansas City.

She was pronounced dead at a hospital Friday night. She was hit shortly after 5 p.m. Friday in the northern part of the city.

Witnesses say the girl was on a sidewalk chasing after the truck, which had pulled over to serve a customer. Police said in a statement the driver started moving again and didn’t see the girl as she darted in front of the vehicle.

Sounds like a sad accident, tho I’m curious why the driver wouldn’t expect children to be in his path. Still Ice Creme trucks are big heavy trucks, so you don’t need to hit a child at any serious speed for it to be fatal.

Remember, this isn’t a “Gun Death” so it doesn’t count.

“Gun Death” England

In the UK why would you need a gun?

A man who killed 16-year-old Christina Edkins on a rush-hour bus in Birmingham has been detained indefinitely under the Mental Health Act.

Phillip Simelane, from Walsall, stabbed the teenager in a random attack as she made her way to school in March.

He had been released from prison, unsupervised, three months before the attack – despite warning signs over the state of his mental health.

The 23-year-old admitted manslaughter in a hearing at Birmingham Crown Court.

So much wrong here. People can’t even carry knives in England….but that doesn’t stop insane murderers from carrying them any more than the murder laws stop them from killing innocent girls. Of course its illegal to SHOOT insane lunatics when they attack innocent girls too. That helps keep England’s “Gun Death” rate VERY low.

And then there’s the “Justice System” that lets what appears to be a standard-issue career criminal free with no supervision. Also if the cops will protect you, where were they for Christina Edkins?

Just a pile of examples of a failed system. This is the system the “Gun Death” fanatics want for all of us!

“Gun Death” Street Beating

This is a sick one:

Philadelphia police released a street-camera video Wednesday of a blind man taking a brutal beating in broad daylight.

The blind man, who was in the Germantown area, appeared to be pushed from behind and falls off the curb and into the street.

While on the ground, the blind man takes two punches, and then gets kicked nearly a dozen times by the attacker. He offered no defense. Police noted that there were bystanders in the video that did nothing to intervene. There were no calls to 911 until after the attack, and that call did not even specify that he had been attacked.

“A challenged person that can’t see is attacked in midday, and no one comes to his aid? That’s insanity,” one resident told MyFoxPhilly.com.

People didn’t even help or even call 911? The blind man is lucky to be alive, even a beating like this can easily turn out to be fatal. Nobody protected him, not Police, not citizens.

Sad, but not a “Gun Death”.

Fast and Furious Pt II

Just like the ATF “Botched Sting” that simply sold guns illegally to Mexican criminals with no attempt to track or apprehend them. (We all know Fast and Furious was “Botched” simply because it was discovered by the American people, and the Government of Mexico who were both kept in the dark. The whole point of the operation was to make it APPEAR like Mexican Cartel Soldiers were buying guns in America, and we needed MORE laws)

Now we have this with Cigarettes:

Really I’m starting to think that the ATF is simply a criminal organization with arrest powers.

TSUNAMI

A lot simpler than my standard tastes, but I dig the nice clean rhythm.

Also it doesn’t hurt than I was running errands today when this came on. I’m not listening to nearly as much crazy music right now with a sleeping baby around the house.
