Funny How that Works

I see a trend

More than 100 protesters from the Occupy Boston movement were arrested early Tuesday after they ignored warnings to move from a downtown greenway near where they have been camped out for more than a week, police said.

Now compare this other gatherings that are championed by the left. Union Demonstrations, Illegal Alien Demonstrations, G8/G20 Socialist Protests, now the Occupy #city movement. If you see an angry mob you’re seeing an angry LEFT-WING mob. And if you see a bunch of “Progressives” waiving signs, banging drums, and chanting GET THE HELL OUT OF DODGE, because soon they’re going to start a violent disturbance and the riot shields and batons will soon be swinging.

Now compare this with the large tea party gatherings. Cops are there only as a formality, and occasionally have to remind members of the terms of their demonstration permit (oh yeah, the right-leaning movements follow the law about permits too!) or safety concerns, and everybody goes home to their bed. If they bring a Paddywagon along, its just for show and it goes back to the barn Empty.

Heck let’s really raise the fear factor. OPEN CARRY GATHERINGS! Dozens or HUNDREDS of people all in a park, restaurant, or public venue, all with LOADED GUNS! Problems? None.

Heck even right-wing political demonstrations only turn violent when “Progressives” show up.

There is something to be said about the side that is always dangerous and violent when they get together.

Also its another good reason to carry a gun.

Be Safe out there!

I went to the second round of TEA Party protests in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
Couple of things I noted; first it was held on a week day evening. People could be seen coming from work -everyone I talked to either came from work or took a vacation day.

Second, the orderliness of the protest was amazing. There was a cop at the entrance to the park for traffic control, helping people get across the intersection, etc. He spent most of his time answering questions about parking. People simply were polite and followed the law.

Third, There were people who didn’t follow the law there — Yep, ultra liberals. They tried to block traffic, they tried to get out in the street to wave their signs.

Fourth, the next day there was not a single “Oh my gosh look at the mess left” news report. The closest a reporter could get to that was a trash can that was nearly overflowing.

Yah, I check out what is being protested before I get close. Haven’t been caught in a riot or near riot yet don’t want to either.

I forgot to point out how clean Open Carry, Town Hall, and Tea Party protestors leave the place. As a rule they pack out what they pack in, and usually organize a clean-up crew that will police the area for any outliers before the public servants get a chance to get their hands dirty.

I think we all saw what a Mess the Mall was after the Dear Reader ascended to Presidency

Umm, might have to make a cartoon about that! Can I purchase the rights to your Occupy Something While Open Carrying idea 🙂

  3. I don’t think anger has anything to do with it. Most of my Tea Party friends are deeply angry about what is going on in this country. The issue is that Tea Partiers generally have jobs and families and self control. They aren’t going to do anything that will get them arrested.

In comparison, OWS protesters are either professionals, activists, students, or unemployed. The sort of people who don’t have anything to lose if they spend a night in the pokey. The sort of people who might actually gain street cred with their movement by spending the night in the pokey because they “stood up to the man.”

I use the term “Angry Mob” the same way is used for “Aggravated Assault”, its not that the assault has a degree of aggravation to it, its just a qualifier.

I mean “A Mob that’s throwing rocks and bottles and the situation is calling for tear gas, riot batons, and ambulances”.

Nobody gathers for a demonstration out of contentment. Even the Open-Carry Barbecues and picnics which are generally VERY family friendly and you can see kids playing, but the adults are talking about how pissed they are that our rights are being infringed for nothing.

I’m just pointing out that one side makes a good show without showing one’s ass.

I’ve heard of some instances where the police stop showing up to Tea Party protests. When the liberals complained, they were told that police presence simply wasn’t needed.

When I see left wing protests, they all seem so incoherently angry and full of mindless rage. All the Tea Party rallies I’ve been to had a few signs, almost no chanting, and were mostly boring lectures on the debt, healthcare, the constitution, etc.
