“Gun Death” Guns And Cars

We can never compare guns and cars.

A 68-year-old woman died Thursday night when she was intentionally hit by a car driven by her son as she was being loaded into an ambulance, police said.

How fucked up is that story?

Of course you can’t compare guns and cars because cars aren’t “designed to kill”.

Well: A) What’s wrong with having an instrument that can kill? Justifiable self defense is a legal and acceptable reason to kill another person. If such a situation happens where its kill or be-killed, I’d like to have an item that will do that job well, rather than poorly.

B) Most guns in this country don’t kill or hurt ANYTHING, and cars cause LOTS more UNINTENTIONAL deaths than guns, and unintentional “Gun Death” is almost nothing.

But as this story shows, being “Designed to Kill” doesn’t make it any less effective a murder weapon.

I was going to remark that you can’t even hunt with cars, until I started thinking about all the roadkill along our fair nation’s highways and byways….
