The Columbus Dispatch reported John Reeves was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison after he whipped Lawrence King III with a leather belt and killed him at the family’s Columbus home in March.

The truth is that, if a person wants to kill another person badly enough, that first person is going to. It does not matter if he has a firearm, a knife, a belt, or his bare hands – we humans have the innate capability to kill other people just by being human. Our ability to use damned near anything as a lethal tool is just a “bonus”, so to speak.
