Rah Rah Wakefield!
Three little letters are causing a stir in one town. The Wakefield Track and Field team’s sweatshirts are the talk of the town.
Why? They have decided to put the initials of their organization on the back. Those initials, WTF, are also a popular vulgar internet colloquialism.
I had a Boss who by chance had the initials “PMS” he said he had a whole drawer filled with things people had monogrammed for him who didn’t think it through.
Personally I don’t think Wakefield should change a thing, the world is FULL of competing Acronyms. Think, the “World Wildlife Foundation”, and “Bunch of Wrestlers in the 80s”
WTF!!!!
The really sad thing is that those 80’s wrestlers lost to the panda people. Talk about WTF!
Is that why its all WWE and other such bullshit these days? Never really followed it, even when I was a kid and thought it was real…

I recall an event that happened an uncounted numbered of years ago. I was returning home from out of state and passed by a local high school with their movable-letter sign set up to read “SOL this week”. I figured it was final exam week and some seniors decided to be funny until I saw similar text in the newspaper headline. It turns out that Virginia calls their standardized test battery “Standards Of Learning.” Quite apropos, I think.
