Again from Cueball another “Gun Death?” Focusing on Cars
Authorities say 28-year-old Angel Wells was crossing Alexis Road to show an apartment to a couple, but when Wells stepped into traffic, a truck came speeding down the road, hit Wells and never stopped.
Authorities say the driver of that truck, 50-year-old Joseph Posadney of Temperance, Michigan, was found nearby. They say the truck’s hood and bumper were dented and a tire was flat.
Posadney has been charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident. He is being held at the Lucas County Jail.
Again, no call to ban cars or have more training on a driver’s license or ban on “high capacity assault cars” or some such bullshit.

100 miles an hour is not an accident — it is a deliberate decision — the collision with the bridge was the result of conscious decisions made multiple times — to speed, to go around the slower traffic, to not slow down while passing, etc.
Also note there are no devices to limit cars to a single, registered user, no child access prevention requirements (how many times do we hear of some pre-teen out for a driver), no limits on engine capacity.

Prosecutors said Calhoun was driving close to 100 miles per hour when he hit them at the intersection of Custer Road and Legacy Drive.
Witness Jean Flemmer told the jury the “car sped by us, veered into our lane then back in his. My husband said this is an accident waiting to happen.”
Michelle Armour’s testimony brought tears to the courtroom. She tried to give CPR to the victims at the accident scene.
“Parents were decapitated. Kids were taking their last breath, organs everywhere. It looked like a terrorist attack,” she said.
