This is a good idea!
Bringing new meaning to the term ‘good stiff drink’, owners of an East Providence, Rhode Island funeral home will be adding an Irish Pub to the premises.
The Monahan Drabble & Sherman Funeral Home has been in business for more than 125 years, and was recently granted a liquor license and plans to open ‘McBrides’.
I heard the owner on a local radio show, and “McBrides” is an Irish pub attached to a funeral home back in the old country. Good name, but I can think of a better one!
Dropkick Murphys – EXACTLY what I needed this morning!
Better than Coffee, ne?
I’ve always said I want a good Irish wake after my funeral. They can cry at the gravesite but afterwards I want them to crack open a couple nice bottles of Scotch, tap a keg of good beer, and tell Lissa Stories 🙂
If people don’t laugh ’till their sides hurt at my funeral (Tears and morning aside) it means I didn’t achieve my life’s goal!
What a good idea!
And I immediately thought of that song (though by a different band) when I read the article!
