So this morning the Mrs. was eating breakfast, but her stomach was still soft, and while the breakfast stayed down, she didn’t eat much. There was lots of talk of spending another night in the hospital.
Still before lunch the Physical Therapist showed up and they wandered around the floor for a bit. I guess the Mrs. impressed her as she was cleared for release with PT.
Lunch came, and the nurse gave her a dose of anti-nausea meds and she WOLFED down her meal. I was concered at the speed that the meal went down it might come up with the same vigor, but after eating she was exhausted and took a 2 hour nap.
After the nap I started asking how she felt about things. She was really tired, but overall the pain was controlled well with medicine, and her stomach felt good. We called the nurse and she cleared her for release, but told us we could take our time given it was now 4:30 pm and traffic was turning into a mess.
So I went out and filled some prescriptions, called some people to let them know the good news, and called a few other people to get somebody at the house to watch the Mrs. as I need to get some work done in the lab on Saturday.
Then we acquired a wheelchair and some hospital volunteers and sprung her into the night!
The Truck ride home was uneventful and the Mrs. did quite well. Got her upstairs and into bed with the greatest of ease, and got her filled with meds as the pain was starting to peak out.
Now she’s upstairs resting comfortably, so all I need to do is write a mass email and go to bed myself.
It will be nice not to be in bed alone!
Nite all!

WIN! Congratulations – this is awesome news.
YEA!!!!! Great news my friend. Glad to hear you’ve sprung her.
We’ll continue to pray for fast recovery, little pain and full healing.
Call if there is anything we can do to help out, call if you need to kvetch about anything or just want to talk.
Keep taking care of the lady, as I did, you’ve seem to have won the marriage lottery.
Fantastic news!
Love your blog! Keep up the great work!!

YAY!
I guess its too early for a Margerita and pig roast party, eh? 😀
But that’s great and I completely agree about sleeping alone. I hated the time my wife was in the hospital for 4 days- sleeping alone then is a lot more stressful then when she’s gone for a week to visit her sister, etc.
Hope she gets better faster now!
Well, that’s awesome news! Here’s to a quick recovery.
Most excellent. Give her my best.
Awesome, I’m so glad to hear that! Give her my best for a speedy recovery.
