Just Take a Momement to Remember

The reluctant hero Meleanie Hain. I wrote about her death a year ago here on my Live Journal.

This is just so senseless. Meleanie made the national news when Pennsylvania revoked her carry permit after police were called when she was open carrying her Glock at her children’s soccer game.

In the following months we got to know a devoted mother who wanted to be able to protect her kids if they were ever in danger. She became a hero as her case proved to police that you CANNOT punish an innocent citizen for committing no crime. Such rulings protect us all, certainly in Pennsylvania, but across the nation.

Sadly the real danger happened to come from her husband, and the father of the very children she wanted to protect. Women everywhere need to know that if you’re sleeping with a violent person you are NEVER safe. Your only protection from that sort of danger is to LEAVE. The vow “Until Death Do Us Part” should not have such a grim tone!

I would also like to provide links here to media that have given Ms. Hain immortality.

Gun Nuts Radio Interview

Ms. Hain giving bigot Bryon Miller the thrashing he deserved on local television

Ms. Hain was NOT an activist or a spokeswoman by choice, she was forced into this position by a bigoted Police Chief who felt he could overstep his bounds. She was thrust into the media toe-to-toe with professional lobbyists by an anti-gun media who knew that their side would lose in a fair fight. The fight wasn’t fair, and yet still she always came up on top.

Sadly she was killed, but the tool used was irrelevant, Ms. Hain was in an abusive relationship for a long time. I would like anybody who is in such a relationship to LEAVE NOW! Seek shelter, seek safety. If you are concerned about your family remember Ms. Hain’s children who are now orphans.

While I am somewhat loathe to tarnish Ms. Hain’s memory with this comment, it is still important to remember that there is a decidedly non-zero number of anti-rights nuts who not only celebrated her death, but wish that kind of thing would happen to more of us.

That is the kind of person we are defending our rights from… and we must never forget it.

No tarnish at all. I think its important to always note that our side is what we stand for. We want to reduce violent crime and increase individual liberty.

Meanwhile they TALK about “Reducing ‘Gun death'” and “public safety”, but what they really want is to ban guns and eliminate people who won’t agree with them.

When Ms. Hain tragically died, it was one voice that spoke against them that was silenced, and they were ELATED at that.

Meanwhile our side complains that people like Paul Helmke and Joan Peterson WON’T have a debate or a discussion.

We call them liars and bigots for a reason.

I can think of one in particular.

They say we don’t need guns to protect ourselves, that we should all be disarmed. Then they celebrate our deaths and advocate engaging in violence against those of us still alive.

Hmm, and they wonder why we fight so vehemently against their ilk who would disarm us. They take “Molon Labe” as a joking statement but should remember that many of us say it in all seriousness.
